ICC-402 Series
The powerful and versatile ICC-402 programmable controller combines PLC functionality, reliability and extra capabilities in one compact package. This controller’s unique, integrated design, with built-in functions which can be customised for your specific application, avoids many of the complications inherent in hybrid systems. Space requirements are kept to a minimum by reducing (and in some cases even eliminating) the need for external modular hardware.

If you require a display for your ICC-402 controller, then you may select any one of the displays below. Unless otherwise stated, displays connect to your ICC-402 via the HMI interface using a remote display cable. Custom branding is also available where there is sufficient space to add your logo – please contact us for a quote.

The ICC-402 controller is designed to mount on a 35mm DIN rail. The case measures 101H x 35W x 120D (mm). When calculating space requirements for the ICC-402, you should allow for an additional 30-50mm above and below the unit for connectors and wiring.
The ICC-402 series programmable controller supports up to three analogue input modules, with a combined total of up to 12 channels.
If you select multiple analogue input modules, the IE-02 input expander will be supplied free with your controller. This compact, modular unit mounts on the DIN rail beside the ICC-402.
Note
The ICC-400 legacy controller does not support IE-02, and so has a limit of one input module with up to 8 channels.
The ICC-402 controller comes standard with an ICCS1 serial port, however you may upgrade, if needed. No analogue outputs are included by default.

- Analogue outputs are used to retransmit process variables to PLCs and SCADA systems. They can be used to control outputs, (such as valves, motor drives and chart recorders) or to add a transmitter function to the controller.

- Serial outputs are used to set up and calibrate the controller using a PC. They can also be used to drive external printers and modems, communicate to PC’s/PLCs and retrieve logged data. Define Instruments serial output is compatible with SCADA systems.
The ICC-402 comes standard with 3 function pins which can be configured as digital inputs if required. You may also select any one of the following digital I/O expansion modules, which are designed to be mounted externally on the DIN rail beside the base unit. (Expansion can be used in combination with the standard digital inputs).

The ICC-402 series base controller has a 256KB configuration storage capacity. Data-alogging and real-time clock are not enabled by default, but will be enabled when you opt for a memory upgrade.
